BOOSTING MORALE, STRENGTHENING SECURITY: SLPHA EMPOWERS PORT SECURITY PERSONNEL WITH NEW UNIFORMS & BOOTS

The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has provided uniforms and boots to personnel of the Department of Security and Intelligence, reaffirming Management’s commitment to strengthening security operations across the nation’s ports.
The intervention, which saw the distribution of 121 pairs of uniforms and boots to security personnel, is aimed at boosting morale, promoting professionalism, and reinforcing the sense of unity and pride within the Department as they continue to play a vital role in safeguarding port facilities and operations.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Department, Director of Security and Intelligence, Sheik Umarr Sesay, commended the Director General, Deputy Director General, and the entire Management of the Authority for what he described as timely and impactful support to the Department. He noted that the gesture reflects the visible leadership, commitment, and recognition that Management continues to accord the security personnel whose responsibilities remain critical to maintaining safety, order, and operational efficiency at the ports.

Director Sesay emphasized that the supply of the uniforms and boots will not only enhance the appearance and confidence of personnel but will also improve coordination, discipline, and effectiveness in the execution of their duties across port facilities. He assured Management that the investment made in the Department would yield positive results, as officers remain committed to serving the Authority with discipline, vigilance, and excellence.

Director Sesay further expressed appreciation to the Authority for ensuring that every personnel within the Department benefited from the distribution, describing the intervention as a major morale booster for the security workforce.
